“From Skin to Art" (2011)
From a young age, Jerry Shaver's love of animals consumed him, but it did so in ironic ways. Born into a hunting family, Shaver has killed his share of deer, fowl and rabbits, but he's also brought them back to life again– through taxidermy.
This piece is a short study of one man's craft and his obsession with it.
